ALLISON COLEMAN
"May" (series regular)
Co-Producer

Flighty, fashion-forward "May" (series regular) is played by Allison Coleman, the co-producer of Broke as a Joke. Allison comes from California's central valley and grew up loving old movies of Marilyn Monroe, Myrna Loy and Jane Russell. She has Betty Boop looks and wide-eyed innocence.

Growing up, Allison had a flair for art, theater and poetry, and won the William Saroyan Writing Contest, becoming published in the Blush of Morning anthology by The International Library of Poetry. After high school, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting and attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. After graduating, she hit the ground running with commercial and print work.

In addition to her acting career, Allison has taught the fundamentals of drawing and painting at private fine arts schools, as well as worked with preschoolers and transitional kindergartners. Her own work as an artist has culminated in her latest Drip Series of paintings, consisting of female figures in an expressionist environment utilizing a drip technique to create depth and evoke emotion.

Allison is represented commercially by the Osbrink Talent Agency. See more at http://allisoncoleman.com.
